A question we often get from new customers is how they can insure their wine.  Normally those insurers who are willing to provide wine insurance add it as a rider to a homeowner’s policy.  But rather than just give our customers a list of the companies that offer wine insurance, we wanted to make sure we referred them to the leader of the pack.

So after getting a lot of feedback from customers, contacting the insurers themselves, and seeing what programs are available for serious wine collectors, we chose Chubb.  And guess what: they returned the favor and chose US!

We are thrilled to announce that San Diego Wine Storage has been selected by the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies as a “Chubb Preferred Service Provider” within its Masterpiece® Protection Network.  The Masterpiece Network provides coverage for high value art, antiques, wine, and other valuable collections. SDWS’s temperature controlled, secure facilities in downtown San Diego and Solana Beach are part of the agreement between the two companies.

As a member of the Masterpiece Network, SDWS joins an elite group of service providers across the Nation who have been recognized by Chubb for delivering a consistently high standard of service to its policyholders.  And to help with the peace of mind department, we offer cataloging services that include detailed inventories, valuations, and drink-by dates for wine collections of any size. Cataloging services are available to SDWS members as well as non-members who own home wine cellars.
